Leading teams to success in national technological competitions and hackathons
I led my research team and represented my undergraduate University (IUBAT) at 10 National Technological Competitions, Hackathons, and Expos. I achieved Runner-Up titles at 3 National Tech Competitions in 2019 and 2020, demonstrating strong leadership and technical excellence.
Dhaka International University
I led my research team "SENSO CODER" from IUBAT CSE Robotics Club at Mujib Borsho IT Carnival 2020 organized by Dhaka International University (DIU). We secured the runner-up position in the Tech Idea Contest category by demonstrating "The Smart Injector" project.
Jahangirnagar University
Under my leadership, "SENSO CODER" achieved First Runner-Up position among the top 11 nationwide selected teams at the Tech Idea Competition of JU CSE FEST 2019 powered by Tiger IT. We presented our second phase implementation of the world's first Fully Automated Multiple Injection System with Real Time Clock (RTC) feature.
IUBAT
My leadership guided "SENSO CODER" to achieve Second Runner-Up position among the top 21 selected projects at the Innovation Competition 2019 powered by iLab innovation and Bangladesh ICT Ministry. We presented our first phase implementation of the world's first Fully Automated Multiple Injection System with Real Time Clock (RTC) feature.
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology
We demonstrated an Environment Monitoring System with Machine Learning based Predictive Features at MindSparks'20, AUST. This time Saleh Bin Sayeem led our team "SENSO CODER" and I served as second in command. We developed a complex monitoring platform on Arduino ATMega with various sensors and implemented a Random Forest Algorithm for predictive data analysis.
Developed complex circuitry on Arduino ATMega with sensors (Sound, DHT11 temperature-humidity, dust, CO2 and YL69 pH). Implemented a library with Random Forest Algorithm for predictive data analysis within the platform.
International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka
I represented my Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IUBAT at the International Smart City Expo'19 where I demonstrated the Sensor-based Multiple Injection Prototype with Real Time Clock (RTC) Feature. Presented the project to Mr. Atiqul Islam, The Honorable Mayor of Dhaka-North City Corporation and Md. Ariful Hasan-Opu, a recognized entrepreneur and visionary.
Islamic University of Technology (IUT)
I led "SENSO CODER" in the National Project Showcasing Competition called "Mecceleration'19" at IUT. We demonstrated "The Smart Injector" for the very first time. Received massive positive reviews and critical acclaim from numerous national and international visitors including students and teachers from Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Malaysia, MIST, BUET, BUP, BracU, AIUB and other institutions.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)
I led my robotics team to participate in a National Robotics Competition at BUET called Robo Carnival 2019. We competed in the "Robo Soccer" segment but got eliminated in the quarter final round. Despite the setback, this experience inspired the development of "Nano Rover" which later won a Best Paper Award.
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP)
Participated in BUP ICT Fest Hackathon 2018 to solve real-world problems. We developed an efficient online examination platform to help students avoid the complexities of physical participation. Our team achieved sixth position in this national competition.
Developed an efficient online examination taking platform to eliminate complexities of physical participation for students during exams.
Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST)
This was my first national competition participation. I chose the country's biggest robotics event ROBOLUTION'18 and assembled team "SENSO CODER" to develop an autonomous line following robot. Despite having no prior experience, we secured our place in the finals and achieved eleventh position competing against 75 teams from across the country.
IUBAT University
As the founder and Chief Trainer of IUBAT CSE Robotics Club, I organized and participated in multiple intra-university robotics contests. These events served as training grounds for national competitions and helped develop the robotics culture at IUBAT.
These intra-university competitions helped train approximately 200 students on robotics systems, 40+ different sensor types, and programming. The trained teams went on to win 5 National Technological Project Competitions within 3 years of the club's establishment.
After our team's elimination in the quarter-finals of Robo Carnival 2019 at BUET, I transformed this setback into a research opportunity. The experience led to the development of "Nano Rover" - a multi-sensory surveillance robot with modified inception-net.
This research transformation demonstrates the ability to convert competition challenges into successful research outcomes, resulting in a Best Paper Award at a Springer Nature affiliated international conference in 2021.
